GDT for Open Minded Crafting

Hi all! There is a new challenge blog starting called Open Minded Crafting. I made this card for a spotlight on their blog today.  The challenge for this week is new stash/ new technique.

I got to work with this adorable Tiffany playing violin image from Milk Coffee. I colored her with my promarkers.  All the papers are from my stash.  I added some flowers dotted with stickles and some pearls.  The bow was handmade by me.  The new stash is the frantage around the image.  I have never used it before.  It didn't turn out quite right but I still think it looks cute.  The sentiment is stamped from a clear stamp set I have.  I have distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool. The card layout was inspired by the sketch at Seems a little sketchy.

I hope you all head over to link up some creations today.

Hugs,

Erin

  1. Way to go on the GDT, Erin. I'm excited about this new challenge blog - you know how I love to enter challenges! Your project is fabulous, a gorgeous image you chose, and your colouring is outstanding! I love the sketch - I've used it a couple times myself and my GnS card for tomorrow uses it too. Have a great day!

  6. Erin, your card is really cute. I love Fran-tage and had difficulties using it too, until one of my team mates, said that the trick to use to use circles with your heat tool. But I found my biggest problem was that I wan't running my heat tool for a minute to warm up before I put it under me paper. What it was doing was blowing off rather then melting. It made all the difference for me. I hope it helps you.

Thanks for joining us at Seems a Little Sketchy.
