Fun in The Sun






Hi everyone! Thank you for joining me while I learn to make cards and apparently take pictures for that matter! Crafty Sentiments was kind enough to give away this cute Harriet digital stamp for those participating in their current challenge. I just had to jump in and join them.  How adorable is she? She will be released for purchase in their online store soon and they are currently having a huge sale.  You all know I can't pass up a sale!

I followed the sketch provided by Seems A Little Sketchy for the card layout. The papers used were all purchased from Joann Fabric. I used my vagabond to cut the scalloped frame around the image.  If you don't have a vagabond and are looking to purchase a cutting/embossing machine, I highly recommend looking into this one. I love mine. It's so easy to use and quite handy! I used the oval and scalloped oval punches from Stampin' Up on the sentiment.  I am quickly becoming a huge fan of bakers twine. Harriet was colored in using Promarkers.  This card is perfect to suit my mood this weekend.  It's a bright summery warm day. Now I'm off to get myself some ice cream!
