Birthday Wishes

Sketch Saturday Challenge #265




One of my new pen pals has a birthday coming up so I thought I would make her a cute birthday card! Who wouldn't love to find this beauty in their mailbox? I used one of Lacy Sunshine's amazing images. I stocked up on her retiring digis this weekend.  Get them before they are gone! They are so adorable and fun to color.  I used my Promarkers for coloring. I have ultra fine nibs shipping to me. I can't wait to use them on the fine details! I have such a heavy hand with ink.  I followed the sketch by Sketch Saturday for the card layout. I tied my first ever bow with ribbon. Thank you YouTube! The sentiment was punched with Stampin up scalloped oval and oval punches.  The papers were all from my stash.  I had lots of fun making this card! That being said, the photography part of blogging is more of a challenge for me.  I have horrible lighting in the house! Patience is not something I have a huge supply of. I even used a super cute glitter pen on the birthday hat which you can't see because of the poor lighting.  If anyone has any tips on how to take better pictures I would greatly appreciate them.  Feel free to send me an email if you have the time and desire to give me a hand!

    Beautiful card Erin! Hope your friend loves it.

    I too have a very heavy hand for colouring. Once you're used to the ultra fine nibs you'll find it so much easier as you can right in there.
