Who me?

How adorable is this smiling owls digital stamp? I saw this image at From the Heart Digital Stamps and just had to have it. I am a huge owl fan! I colored them with Promarkers.  All the paper and ribbon are from my stash.  I tried some new to me techniques with this card. I fussy cut around the owls.  I have to admit this is the best I have ever done with that.  Am I the only one that gets hand cramps while doing it? I also used a Martha Stewart leaf punch and glued together some flowers.  So much easier to do than I thought and very pretty.  I colored some white pearls with my gold Promarker to match the flowers.  The sentiment is from a new clear sentiment set that was sent to me by a good friend. I really enjoyed making this card and am happy with the way it turned out.  I followed Sketch 32 from I heart card sketches for the card layout.

Hoppy birthday

My first masculine card! It was so hard to not throw some pink in here! This cute little frog is from Inky Antics Honeypop Stamps.  I actually  haven't used the honeypop paper yet on the cards. Next time.  I colored in this froggy with my promarkers.  I added some brown flock to the cat tails.  I just love flocking powder. It really brings life and texture to the cards. It's my favorite way to add some texture to the cards.  I added an adorable bow and three pearls down the side because even masculine cards can have a little bling.  I used my stamping up punches on the sentiment.  All the papers were from my stash.  I used one of my new border dies along the edge for the scallops.  I had more fun than I thought I would making this masculine card.  I normally avoid them because let's face it, I love pink! I followed the sketch at Designed2delight for the card layout.

Birthday Cake

As some of you know I love to write snail mail to my pals and share my cards with them.  One friend asked me to make a birthday card for her daughter who loves frogs.  I saw the adorable Lacy Sunshine image and knew it would make the perfect image for her card. I colored the image with my Promarkers and used papers from my stash.  I used my new nestabilities dies to cut and mat the image.  Two of my favorite ways to embellish my card are with rhinestones and my jelly roll glitter pen so I used both on this card.  The glitter really helps make the white frosting pop on the cake.  I recently found these amazing paper flowers on eBay and had to get a pack. This is the first time I have used the flowers from my new stash! Love them. So bright and easy to use.  I followed the sketch at Feeling Sketchy for the card layout.   Hopefully my friends daughter will enjoy her birthday card!
