I have been a follower of this blog for awhile now and was so pleased to be offered a chance to be a part of their Design Team. Tickled pink I guess you could say. So what better color scheme to use for my first card than pink of course. I happen to be a huge fan of pink and chocolate colors together. I just think they mesh so well. I colored in this image by Sherri Baldy. How adorable is she with that long hair? She reminded me of the film Tangled that my adorable nieces made me watch over and over! I am working on learning how to color and blend better. Practice, practice, practice.... Never give up! I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the leaves and glued together the flowers with a pearl added to the center. Two cute little pink buttons were added next to the image. I used my stampin up oval and scalloped oval punches for the Happy Birthday sentiment. The fun sentiment is a die cut sticker. I added a hint of glitter to the flower in her hair and on the flowers on her legs with my glitter gel pen. I used papers from my stash that I picked up at a yard sale earlier this summer. I have followed the sketch at Sketch and Stash for the card layout. I really enjoyed making this card for my first DT post and hope to do many more in the future.
