It's time for a new challenge at Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge blog today! The theme is Upcycle. Our sponsor is the always generous Lacy Sunshine.
Here is my DT card:
I got to work with this adorable angel boo image. I colored her with my promarkers. The papers and ribbon were from my stash. The sentiment is from a clear stamp set from Oriental Trading. The buttons are my recycled item. I know go through all the clothes my family members are getting rid of and steal all the buttons! It's free so why not? Card layout inspired by the sketch at Seems a little sketchy .
We would love to have you join us in the challenge this week. Just remember to mention in your blog posts what the recycled item is you used! Head here to link up and see more DT inspiration. Hope to see you there.
Hugs,
Erin

Snowman Photo Inspiration - Savvyhandmade cards
Hi my crafty friends! It's time for a new challenge at Savvy Handmade cards. I am sure we are all churning out the Christmas cards this month. Our challenge this week is a photo inspiration. We would love for you to play with us.
Here is my DT card:
How adorable is this image? I have been seeing others using the image and always forgot to look at where it came from. One of my dear friends mentioned that I should check out the Tiddly Inks images and there it was! I just had to have it! I colored her with my promarkers. The papers are from my stash from Oriental Trading. I added gemstones in the corners. I tried out some liquid applique for the first time ever and LOVE it. I used it on her hat and skirt. I added some 3d candy stickers for some extra bling and sparkle. I can't remember where the sentiment came from now. I have been better at saving the names with the images now that I realize I can't remember anything these days!
Card layout inspired by The sweetest thing sketch.
We would love to have you join us in our challenge this week. Head over to link up and see more inspiration.
Hugs,
Erin

Pick a treat holiday challenge
The theme for the Chaos challenge is pick a treat for this card. I chose to work with * Fruit
Cake – Make it
Funny & use ONLY scraps to create your card.
I love this newer reindeer image from Bugaboo! I went with nontraditional colors for this one. I have done a few projects with this paper so I had all these scraps in my bin. I don't know about you but I have a hard time going through the bin to use up scraps. I would rather get fresh paper. I thought this was the perfect time to get rid of a few extra pieces. I colored the image with promarkers. I used my snow writer to add some snow balls around his head. Some clear pearls were added in the corner. I love googly eyes and thought he needed some. The sentiment is from Bugaboo stamps as well. I used the sketch at My Time to Craft for the card layout.
See you again tomorrow with more Christmas cheer.
Hugs,
Erin

Cozy up by the fire
Two posts today for the Catch the Bug Holiday chaos! I have been crafting away all week after work. It seems that my boyfriend is missing me. He made the comment that he hasn't seen me all week. Do I really need to explain that it's Christmas time and I have soooo much to do?! Silly men! Anyway back to my card! Tuesday's title was Cozy up by the fire. I chose this recipe to work with featuring Tuesdays cute new digi release. Cocoa & Holiday Music - Use the Color Chocolate & Something Silver
The card layout was inspired by a sketch at Passion for Promarkers. I colored the image with my promarkers. I colored her dress with my new metallic silver promarker. The papers were all from my stash. I added some faux stitching around the image. I saw another card maker using a faux stitch stamp. I really need to find me a few of those. My shaky hands makes it very hard to do on my own! I added some new buttons that I just got from Oriental Trading. The sentiment is a tag die and stamp set from My Creative Time. A dear friend sent me some of these cute handmade silver bows that went perfectly with the theme I chose to work with!
I really have been having so much fun with the Chaos themes. It's helping me get more of my Christmas cards made instead of watching tv!
Hugs,
Erin

Ugly Sweater Challenge
Time for my Ugly Sweater Challenge post for the Chaos. As a side note can you believe I have never been to an ugly sweater party? I chose to work with this recipe Mom's
Ugly Sweater -
Use Red, Green & Yellow + an Angel.
I love this cute bear angel stamp. I think he is very versatile and can be used for a variety of card. I colored him with my promarkers. I added some glitter to the wins with my gel pen. I used gold stickers on the halo and around the star punch. The papers are from my stash. I added a handmade bow. The sentiment was cut from card stock. I used the sketch at I heart card sketches for the card layout.
Hope you have enjoyed my angel. See you tomorrow!

Erin

Wrap it up
Hi again! Here is my second project for the Catch the Bug Holiday chaos event. The theme today is wrap it up. I got my Grandma these cute kitchen utensils as part of a stocking stuffer. I saw this adorable Gingerbread girl image and thought it would be perfect to use for a tag for this gift.
Closer view.......
I colored this image with my promarkers. I used a gel pen around the hat to give it some sparkle. I used the Sizzix tag die and mounted paper from my stash. Green gemstones were added in the corners. I fussy cut the image and mouted her with foam dots. The label is from a clear stamp set from Oriental Trading.
I have been busy crafting away trying to do each project for all the challenges. I hope you enjoy them!
Hugs,
Erin
